Since I was 4 years old and my dad first took me fishing for the first time, I was hooked for life. I have had a pole in my hand ever since. Now that I am 50 years old and dad is gone, I am still as avid a fisherman as I was I was 46 years ago. I am just a lot better at it is all.
I grew up fishing and hunting near the home waters where we lived: Oregon, Washington, Northern California, Alaska, Ohio, and Indiana. Then later in life where we vacationed which included: Missouri, Wyoming, Florida, and North Carolina and some other places to name just a few.
I owned a boat before I owned a car. A few years ago I sold my last boat and now I do almost all my fishing from a kayak. It is a blast! From fishing from the kayak or fishing from shore and kayaking baits out….I love it! And what I really like to do is to target big fish. It doesn’t matter to me, big bass, big catfish, big gar, big shark, big Muskie, big salmon, big steelhead…I want to go big or go home. Targeting big fish for me is like hunting big game…another past-time I am equally passionate about.
I am a catch and eat fisherman... but I get real excited going after big fish. When I do connect with "Mr. Big", I am a catch and release guy.
As I have grown older through my fishing experiences, I am have come to realize that there are others out there that are on a similar fishing journey as I. With this site- I thought I might be able to pass along some pearls of crankbait fishing knowledge that just might help other fisherman to improve their next fishing experience and achieve their own fishing goals.
Thank you for visiting and good fishing to you!
